There is no doubt that the internet has revolutionised the way we shop. According to the 2021 Statista report, 48.5 million French people, or 90% of French Internet users, bought on the internet in 2021.
But sometimes a customer starts their search online to learn more about a product and ends their shopping journey in-store.
This is why if you operate with resellers, it is essential to have an interactive map to list them. If not, how will your customers find you? (and having a long list of addresses to scan through is not the best customer experience!)
A tool that can generate more sales
Let's imagine that a visitor to your site likes a product but he would prefer to see it firsthand before buying. Depending on the type of product you are selling, this could be for several reasons:
- To try on the product (e.g. in the case of clothing)
- To better assess the dimensions or quality of the product (e.g. in the case of furniture)
- To be able to ask the seller questions and get advice (e.g. on the maintenance or use of the product)
- If it is urgently needed and cannot afford to wait for delivery times
If you have resellers, this is the perfect opportunity to direct them to the right stores. And for that, nothing better than a dedicated page on your site with an interactive map where your customers can geolocate themselves and immediately see the nearest point of sale!
A few tips
Decided to create your reseller map on BusinessLocator? Here are some tips to make the user experience for your visitors even better:
Use emojis to differentiate the resellers
If you also have your own stores in addition to resellers, it can be useful to differentiate yourself using emojis (as in the example below):
And the same goes if you want to differentiate between certain types of resellers (supermarkets vs delis for example).
Show logos for the images
As in the example above, if your resellers have recognizable logos, it can be useful to put their logo for the image of the location so that they are easily identifiable by your visitors.
Create a "product" filter
If your resellers do not sell all the products or collections in your inventory, you can create custom filters so that your customers can identify the right location for the product he/she is looking for.
